Dushore Volunteer Fire Company Purchases New Gurney with Chief Donation
The Dushore Volunteer Fire Company recently replaced its 15-year-old, outdated gurney with funds from a donation provided by Chief Oil & Gas. The Dushore Volunteer Fire Company, in Sullivan County, serves residents in a nearly 60 square mile radius in Northeast Pennsylvania.
"As a volunteer fire company, we rely heavily on donations and fundraising to keep our equipment updated so we can better serve the community," said John Yonkin, Dushore's assistant fire chief. "We're thankful for Chief's commitment to not only help us but to keep the community safe."
Giving back through community donations and volunteer hours is an integral part of Chief's commitment to the communities in which it works. Through donations Chief has helped build libraries and playgrounds, provided college scholarships and funded much needed equipment for fire departments and other emergency response groups.
